Nostalgia strikes again ~

Today I did something I hadn't done in the last 7 - 8 years...
I went to the terrace and lay down on my back to see the clouds drift away from each other...Dark clouds over white ones...gray ones over black...
It had been a while since i could give myself some lone time...
A florescent orange colored building,a little away from ours, had a few eagles and mynas sitting on its terrace (A sight I always remembered from my childhood)... Today,i saw those birds again..
As a child, I would spend my afternoons drawing and scribbling or most of the time, just dangling out of the window(like a puppy on his 1st car ride) to see the birds fly or to simply annoy the cats downstairs...
When I saw those birds today, I suddenly felt so old...So old and dejected from things I was once so close to...
You may call me a drama queen...these are things that happen to you as a part of the 'growing up-process' ... But, aren't there times when you wish there was more to life than just books and weekly internals?!!
When you're younger, all you needed to worry about was "What was i going to eat in the evening?"or "Lets hide the maths copy before mummy finds it" !!
Now!!!! forget about hiding copies from your mother...sometimes you'd just wish she'd let you sleep till 9 in the morning!

When these rhetorical questions were going on in my ever-so complicated mind, mummy calls out to me,breaking my long drawn series of reveries...
There are days when you wish you could just go into hibernation....Times when you feel things couldn't go worse(Actually they can..there's no end to misery)

They say "The Grass is always greener on the other side" -- I'd like to be on the less murkier side, for a change...
